Enterprise HR & Workforce Platform

Context

An enterprise HR platform brought together employee profiles, leave, timesheets, approvals, service requests, notifications, and administrative operations.

Challenge

The product needed consistent interaction patterns across many related workflows without making every module feel like a separate application.

My Role & Responsibility

I contributed to UX architecture, workflow design, reusable interaction patterns, React UI collaboration, responsive behaviour, and design-system thinking across the platform.

The Flow I Had to Understand

The design challenge was the relationship between multiple HR tasks rather than one isolated feature. Users needed to move between requesting, reviewing, tracking, and managing information across a shared product environment.

Key Decisions

Decision 01 — Create shared interaction patterns

Use consistent patterns for recurring actions so users did not have to relearn the interface from one HR module to another.

Decision 02 — Treat related modules as one product system

Design information hierarchy and navigation around the relationship between tasks rather than allowing each module to evolve independently.

Decision 03 — Keep patterns practical for React implementation

Work with reusable UI structures so consistency could survive the move from design into production code.

Why Those Decisions Mattered

Enterprise HR products accumulate complexity over time. Shared interaction patterns reduce cognitive load for users and reduce implementation fragmentation for product teams.

The project reinforced that design systems are most valuable when they encode recurring product behaviour—not only visual style.
